Tiempo de Volar

(English)

(Espanol)

Healing from the trauma of childhood sexual abuse is difficult regardless of who you are or where you’re from. But it can feel impossible to many migrant survivors. Language barriers, complicated systems of criminal justice, and the belief that asking for help could very well jeopardize your personal or family safety are a few reasons many migrant survivors simply carry their trauma burden alone.

Inciting fear, separating families no way to end sexual violence

With the nation’s immigration policies and scenes of family separations in the news, we want to take the opportunity to share with you, our supporters, how recent policies and decisions are affecting some of our clients and other survivors of sexual assault in our service area.

Meeting the demand: Developing Spanish-language group therapy curriculum

(En español) KCSARC is one of the few providers of Spanish-language trauma-specific therapy for survivors of sexual violence in King County.

Therapy is available in a one-on-one setting for children over the age of 6, teens, and adults—and is provided by bilingual, bicultural staff members who adapt evidence-based therapeutic methods for an individual’s unique experiences, background, and culture.
