KCSARC is a victim-advocacy organization that provides critical support, tools, and direct services to children, teens, women and men who are victims of sexual assault. KCSARC works with clients of all ages and from all backgrounds.

KCSARC has the expertise to help victims heal and become survivors. Our philosophy is to provide services to victims and their families in a holistic and coordinated way so that victims and their support networks have the skills and knowledge needed to heal. Over half of KCSARC’s clients are under the age of 18, and it is not uncommon for a family to receive multiple services which may include:

Crisis Response
Every hour of the day, KCSARC has trained advocates ready to help you via its 24-Hour Resource Line. You can get help by calling 888.99.VOICE. Our advocates will answer your call, provide crisis intervention, information and referrals, and on-going support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Read more…

Advocacy
One of the first steps in receiving services from KCSARC is to speak with a client care specialist who will coordinate the services you receive at KCSARC and refer you to other potential resources for assistance with needs related to the sexual assault or other challenges you or your family might be facing. Your client care specialist will also provide you with medical advocacy if necessary. Read more…

Legal Advocacy
Navigating the legal system can be a lengthy and confusing experience. KCSARC legal advocates are available to work with you at any time in the criminal justice process. The legal advocate will answer  questions, share  information, and provide consistent support. Our goal is to make sure your voice is heard, and that you and your family have the help you need. Therapy
KCSARC offers trauma specific individual therapy for children, teens, and adults, as well as group therapy for adult survivors of child sexual abuse. After speaking with a client care specialist, you may be connected to a therapist for a clinical assessment. Upon completion of the assessment, recommendations for treatment will be made with the goal of reducing symptoms of trauma. Read more…

Family Services
KCSARC’s Family Services Program offers best and promising practice approaches to help non-offending parents and caregivers be their children’s best advocates following incidents of sexual or physical abuse. The program focuses on: helping parents and guardians respond to and support their children; reducing the likelihood of future abuse; and informing the parents about the therapeutic interventions that their children will be learning and practicing at home so that they can support their child most effectively. Dando Voz (Giving Voice)/Dando Voz en Español
KCSARC provides free, confidential services for victims of sexual assault and their families in the Spanish-speaking community. The Dando Voz program offers all of KCSARC’s current services for victims of sexual assault in Spanish. These services include general advocacy, child advocacy, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, parent education, and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Read more…

Crime Victim Service Center (CVSC)
KCSARC is a member of a consortium of agencies that provide services to all victims of crime in King County. As a collection of agencies, with varying specialties, we are able to meet the needs of all crime victims in King County. All services are victim-centered, accessible and free.
