You may have recently read that a national sexual assault organization will no longer refer survivors to resources that assist with certain issues connected to their sexual assault, including help and information regarding immigration or LGBTQ+-specific concerns.

KCSARC wants to assure our community that we remain steadfast in our commitment to serving all survivors, without judgment and without question.

We know that survivors from marginalized communities are at the highest risk of sexual assault and are often less likely to be believed and supported when they report.

We exist to give all survivors and their families agency and voice. Our role is to empower them with information and connections to services that support their decisions and meet their needs.

No two survivors are alike; to the best of our ability and with all available local resources, we strive to ensure every survivor has what they need to recover and feel safe.
