Nosso Dando Voz (dando voz) program offers comprehensive service for Latinx survivors with a dedicated support line, advocacy, therapy and other supports. Staffed by a team of bilingual/bicultural service providers, our Dando Voz program empowers survivors and their families with the tools, information, and care they need to begin healing.
As we honor Mês da Herança Hispânica, we asked members of our Dando Voz team to share their “porqué”—their personal reason for doing this work. Here’s what they had to say:

“Para garantizar que las víctimas de todas las edades, géneros, etnias/razas, religiones, etc., se sientan creídas, apoyadas y empoderadas en un sistema de justicia criminal que no siempre está tan centrado en las víctimas. Para asegurar que sepan que son escuchados/as y vistos/as. Que su voz importa y que siempre tienen a alguien quien los apoye.”
“To ensure that victims of all ages, genders, ethnicities/races, religions, etc., feel believed, supported, and empowered in a criminal justice system that is not always so victim-centered. To ensure that they know they are heard and seen. That their voice matters and that they always have someone to support them.”
