Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Demonstration
This presentation will demonstrate the components of PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy), which is an evidenced-based program that has had amazing results. Designed to address issues of abused children, ages 2-7 years old, the key component is re-structuring and strengthening the relationship between the child and the non-offending parent. By focusing on that aspect, the program quickly diminishes the negative behaviors, increases positive behaviors and builds social skills in the child. The demonstration will further explain the process, including a demonstration with the specialized PCIT room and equipment and videos of families participating in PCIT. Learn more about PCIT
