Since 2005, the Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs (WCSAP) has offered a training scholarship in the name of Shanette Green, a former staff member. Shanette Green was a much loved employee of the WCSAP who passed away in February, 2004. During the course of her professional development at the coalition, Shanette had several opportunities to travel to national conferences to expand her skills. As a result, Shanette observed that opportunities to attend national trainings was rare for administrative support staff.
This training scholarship was established to continue the development of support staff within sexual assault programs in Washington State. And on May 21, 2009, our very own Rhonda Runyan-Babarik was the winner and recipient of a $2,700 training scholarship. She is choosing to utilize it for training in Microsoft Access to increase her knowledge of our database and its management.
Congratulations Rhonda. You make us proud!!!
