Volunteers
Volunteering as a CourtWatch Monitor is a great opportunity for people interested in criminal law, sociology, human rights, issues related to sexual violence, or for those who want to learn more about our legal system. You will receive a firsthand look at how the courts handle cases of sexual violence and child physical abuse, and have an opportunity to give input that can improve the justice system.
We ask that our volunteers:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Consent to a criminal background check
- Attend the volunteer orientation
- Make a minimum commitment of six months, with at least one shift per month
Our next new volunteer orientation will be in September, 2012. If you are interested in applying to become a CourtWatch court monitor, please download the application and submit it by August 27.
