Since 1976, KCSARC has helped over 150,000 victims of sexual assault become survivors. This was made possible by support from the community. What started as a 3-person agency on a shoestring budget of $50,000 has become the largest and most comprehensive sexual assault resource center in the region with a staff of over 40 and a budget of $3.3 million. 
 

All services at KCSARC are provided free of charge to clients so that in a time of crisis for a family, the financial burden of paying for critical and expert help is never a consideration. This allows the victim and family to focus on recovery and healing. As a private nonprofit, KCSARC relies on support from the community and generous contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations.
